Real Time Schedule of TOPIK

Are you ready to sit for TOPIK? Before you go to one of the test center of TOPIK which is located in your country, read this article so you can prepare yourself to take a test better than others. Here you can check the exact time schedule and what will happen next.

Take a Test (TOPIKⅠ) In the morning :: Total 1 hour and 40 minutes

 

9:20	You must be in the classroom		** after 9: 20, you can’t enter the room **
9:20 ~ 9: 50	information how to mark on the answer sheet, Check own ID out		** your guys need to hand in all smart devices  **
9:50 ~ 10:00	hand out text paper, test system for listening session
10:00 ~ 10:40	Listening Test (40 minutes)		** after listening session, Check own ID out again. **
10:40 ~ 11:40	Reading Test  (60 minutes)

Please remember not to use any electronic or smart devices during the test. If you use any of them, the consequence of what you do will be so bad as you know. Your text will be zero score and you might not take the exam within 2 years again. 

 

 

Take a Test (TOPIK Ⅱ) In the afternoon :: Total 3 hours (except break time 20 minutes)

 

12:20	You must be in the classroom		** after 12: 20, you can’t enter the room **
12:20 ~ 12: 50	information how to mark on the answer sheet, Check own ID out		** your guys need to hand in all smart devices  **
12:50 ~ 13:00	hand out text paper, test system for listening session
13:00 ~ 14:00	Listening Test (60 minutes)		** after listening session , they collect all answer sheets from you **
14:00 ~ 14:50	Writing Test  (50 minutes)
14:50 ~ 15:10	break time  ( 20 minutes)
15:10 ~ 15:20	information how to mark on the answer sheet again.
15:20 ~ 16:30	Reading Test ( 70 minutes)		** after reading session, Check own ID out again. **

It is not very sure that the examiner check your own ID out after reading session or may happen after writing sesseion. Anyway, It takes 3 hours to finish TOPIK Ⅱ - without break time 20 min - and sure that they check ID out more than once to prevent cheating cases from people sitting for the exam. FYI, TOPIK has 2 types of paper, One is Type A for Europe , Africa and America etc (on Saturday) and the other one is Type B for all Asia (on Sunday).

TOPIKⅠ is a kind simple test for beginners as you can see without a writing session but TOPIK Ⅱ is more difficult than TOPIK Ⅰdue to a writing session. You guys need to focus on writing the right sentences with topics given within 50 minutes and this is an important session where most of students fail to go to the highest level 6. Also in reading session of TOPIK Ⅱ , there are more multiple choice questions with another 10 minutes. You'd better think how you spend time effectively on each question so that you can figure out all questions in time.

We believe that there is no shortcut or secret way to learn a new language. it depends on how much time you spend and how much you are interested in. Do you love Korean culture, K-pop, K-drama and so on ? Then start to learn Korean language with what you like most. Do not choose something special and a secret way. It may make you confused to learn a language. A dictionary is always the best text book for you. It is free as well.
